When I was in college I didn't have a drum kit. There was no way for me to play or record drums… Now that I have my own studio and record drums in lots of great spaces, I still use Trigger to make my drums sound their best. It's truly the ultimate equalizer.

Using SSD5 mainly with my E-Drums (Alesis Crimson II). Sound quality is amazing and the articulations are great. Overall it does a great job, and especially the mapping that matches my E-Drum.
It's really impressive how good those samples sit in the mix just by loading them into your session and without even touching an EQ or compression. If you're doing a lot of rock, pop, metal — modern stuff where you need punchy, in-your-face drums — Steven Slate Drums 5 won't disappoint you.

Everybody knows that Trigger 2 is an amazing drum replacement, but the gate is wow
